Meet Theaux

Community leader. Parent. Conservationist. Problem solver. Your neighbor.

Announcement of Candidacy

After Baltimore County Councilman Wade Kach’s announcement that he would not seek another term, I have been asked by quite a few North County residents to represent their community and environmental interests before the council.

I am a highly accomplished, trusted advisor and problem-solver with 20+ years of experience in the nonprofit sector and 25 years as a small business owner and fishing guide in Baltimore County. I have deep knowledge in protecting land uses, water quality, sensitive species, and our community’s recreational, aesthetic and environmental interests.

In the nonprofit sector I have worked collaboratively and across the aisle with elected officials in both Harford and Baltimore Counties on various legislative matters, served on local and regional nonprofit boards, and state water quality and environmental committees, and have litigated when necessary to protect community and environmental issues.

Legislative Track Record

Building a stronger, safer, greener Baltimore County.

Supported Baltimore County landowners by opposing and intervening before the Public Service Commission in the Maryland Piedmont Reliability Project’s application for Certificate of Public Need and Necessity that would, if approved, allow PSEG to take Baltimore County resident’s land through Eminent Domain
Promoted public safety by supporting Wade Kach’s Baltimore County Council Bill 66-20 limiting parking along the Hereford Area of Gunpowder State Park to protect pedestrians and park lands
Supporting a unanimous, Baltimore County Resolution 45-24 sponsored by Kach, Marks, and Patoka opposing the Maryland Piedmont Reliability Project in 2024
Supported Wade Kach’s Bill limiting solar panel siting on agricultural lands with prime and productive soils that prohibited glyphosate application to protect drinking water resources
Held the line on sprawl by supporting Bill 19-25 that any change in the URDL require a charter amendment ( Support Question A) by super majority to move the line
Protected water quality by supporting bipartisan, unanimous resolution 49-25 that all county councilman sponsored in Baltimore County and supported a parallel, bipartisan, unanimous Resolution 038-25 in Harford County that Nolanda Robert sponsored to oppose a state discharge permit for treated leachate that would impact the Gunpowder and Bird River Basin
